Ensure your product catalog stands out on Facebook and Instagram by adhering to the following specifications for images and videos. This guide will help you optimise your content for Meta’s advertising platforms, ensuring your products are showcased effectively.
Product Images
These specifications are consistent with image feed requirements documented by Meta.
General Image Requirements
- Minimum Quantity: Each product must have at least one image.
- File Format: Acceptable formats include JPEG or PNG, with a maximum size of 8 MB.
- Accuracy: Images must accurately represent the product being sold.
- Content: Refrain from including offensive content, such as nudity or violence.
- Creative Limit: There is a limit of 20 product images per product.
Best Practices for Image
- Provide an assortment of images to display different angles and details of the product.
- The primary image should be clear, showcasing the entire product.
- Opt for a white background and refrain from overlaying text or promotional material.
Video Specifications
- Size Limit: Videos must not exceed 200MB.
- Length: There are no strict length requirements, but shorter videos tend to be more impactful.
- Supported Formats: This includes, but is not limited to, formats such as 3g2, 3gp, mp4, mov, avi, and mkv.
Best Practices for Video
- Short Duration: Focus on creating brief, engaging videos that quickly communicate your message.
- Brand Focus: Ensure your brand is prominently featured within the initial seconds.

Combination campaigns (Static and Video)
MPA campaigns promoting multiple SKUs will run in a Carousel format.
A combination of images and video assets can be used however the first card in the Carousel will always display as an image.
